So last night we were out for a birthday dinner at the Blue Ox in Lynn and I checked on Foursquare and OMG! I became the mayor (yes, I went there last weekend also).
I was so excited! I was telling everyone “I just became the mayor of this place” and everyone is looking at me like I have two heads! Not one person in my immediate circle knew what the hell Foursquare was (except Austin because he hears me talk about it all the time). C’mon people really?? Foursquare is like the next big thing. It probably doesn’t help that the large majority of people at the table aren’t even on Facebook (I know. I ask them why daily?).
All in all, i’m super excited about becoming the mayor of The Blue Ox – I just wish I had someone to share my excitement with!

I currently do not have the internet enabled on my phone (I know, so behind the times) but I’m debating doing so, just so I can join foursquare.
That’s exciting! I’m the mayor of the Reading Public Library, which probably isn’t as interesting as a restaurant, but I love it just the same. I’m way nerdily excited about it, too.
I mean, come on– mayor of the library?
That is awesome! I think it is just the idea of being mayor! I was explaining to a client earlier today that I don’t care if I necessarily get anything for being mayor, I just want to be able to SAY that I’m mayor!
The library – what an awesome place to be mayor of!
